CTE CyberNet Miami Academy

Florida International University will be conducting the CTE CyberNet Miami Academy in the summer of 2022 with the support of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs offered in Miami-Dade County Public School. The CTE CyberNet Miami Academy aims to provide professional development to a cohort of secondary teachers in the areas of cybersecurity and digital forensics.

The training will have teachers attend a two-week remote summer session, which will include approximately 80 hours of professional development and resources. This session is designed to increase technical knowledge and assist participants to develop curricula and teaching practices appropriate for their respective classrooms.

Participants will continue this professional development in a nine-month accelerator period throughout the 2022-2023 academic year. The Academy accelerators will provide additional resources and technical assistance to support teachers as they implement learnings and curricula in the classroom.
